Global talent platform Flexiple is on a mission to connect tech talent with jobs around the globe while nurturing professional development. As co-founder Karthik Sridharan explains, “Flexiple is the easiest way for companies to hire tech talent globally.” And yes — it’s built on Bubble. 
Seven years since its founding, Flexiple has grown to a team of 35 people. Through their FlexSave Marketplace, Flexiple even teams up with trusted partners — like Bubble! ‌ — to offer exclusive discounts to community members.

Realizing a dream through trial and error — and a single, powerful platform

But in 2017, Flexiple was still a nascent idea among college friends trying to bootstrap their business. “We spent all the money we had,” Karthik recalls. “We didn’t understand the market at all.” They started out by figuratively duct-taping Google Sheets, Zapier, and Airtable together and combining them with hours of manual labor to help technical job-seekers find employment. 

By 2018, Karthik found himself spending a lot of time fixing problems. “It was becoming quite painful. When you’re connecting different applications, a lot of friction gets generated, and a lot of bugs come out as a consequence.” So when a teammate suggested exploring Bubble, Karthik was initially hesitant about adding yet another tool into the mix — but soon he realized just how different Bubble was. “Instead of me tying together four different tools and trying to understand how they can work together, I was able to do all of that within one single tool: Bubble itself.”

With everything centralized, Karthik could architect unique experiences for different types of Flexiple users, from job-seeking members to company recruiters. “The level of empowerment Bubble gave me was great, and the speed with which we could build was so much quicker.”



From paperclips and rubber bands to industry powerhouse

Since making the switch to Bubble, Flexiple has scaled to $3 million in annual revenue — with only one Bubble Developer on staff. In fact, Karthik estimates Flexiple saves up to $30,000 a year by choosing Bubble. 

“Whether you're writing code or using a tool like Bubble, both of them are a means to an end. But if the goal is to actually solve the problem that you're working on, I think Bubble is the superior tool in many ways.”

Flexiple has also used Bubble to add AI to their professional development and job search offerings. Take resume creation, for example. “It’s a boring task for engineers to make a resume,” Karthik says. With Flexiple’s interactive, AI-augmented resume builder, engineers share details about their skillsets, and Flexiple suggests effective ways of presenting their experience on a resume.

And for recruiters on Flexiple, AI helps companies craft clearer job descriptions and translate tech talent questions into language that a non-technical recruiter can understand and address — all through a Bubble-built user interface.
